The most famous is the division of the levels into the duration of the breath holding, namely \u0915\u0928\u093f\u0937\u094d\u0920 <em>kani\u1e63\u1e6dha<\/em> (short period), \u092e\u0927\u094d\u092f\u092e <em>madhyama<\/em> (medium) and \u0909\u0924\u094d\u0924\u092e <em>uttama<\/em> (high). The <em>yogin<\/em> controls sweating (\u0938\u094d\u0935\u0947\u0926 <em>sveda<\/em>) on the first one, trembling in the body (\u0915\u092e\u094d\u092a <em>kampa<\/em>) on the middle and on the highest, according to the <em>Ghera\u1e47\u1e0da Sa\u1e43hit\u0101<\/em> (5-56), &#8220;earth abandonment&#8221; is happening or levitation (\u092d\u0942\u092e\u093f \u0924\u094d\u092f\u093e\u0917 <em>bh\u016bmi ty\u0101ga<\/em>). In other texts for example, in the description of the third stage, it is said about &#8220;fatigue&#8221;, &#8220;melancholy&#8221; (\u0935\u093f\u0937\u093e\u0926 <em>vi\u1e63\u0101da<\/em>), but since &#8220;triumph&#8221; (\u091c\u092f <em>jaya<\/em>) is used in relation to the three conditions, so it is about &#8220;conquering the gravity&#8221;, above &#8220;fatigue&#8221;, i.e. in contrast to the lightness. Therefore \u092d\u0942\u092e\u093f \u0924\u094d\u092f\u093e\u0917 <em>bh\u016bmi ty\u0101ga<\/em> can be understood not necessarily as a physical levitation, but more often as an &#8220;easy state,&#8221; although in some cases one cannot exclude the other.<\/p>\n<p>Some <em>t<\/em><em>antras<\/em>, for example, the <em>\u0100gamarahasya-tantra<\/em> or <em>M\u0101rka\u1e47\u1e0deya-pur\u0101\u1e47a<\/em> (Ch. 36) give a similar description, the <em>K\u016brma-pur\u0101\u1e47a<\/em> (2.36, 21-26) says about the four processes of progress in <em>pr\u0101\u1e47\u0101y\u0101ma<\/em>. They are as following:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u0927\u094d\u0935\u0938\u094d\u0924\u093f <em>dhvasti<\/em> \u2013 the cessation of attachment to the fruits of good and bad actions.<\/li>\n<li>\u092a\u094d\u0930\u093e\u092a\u094d\u0924\u093f <em>pr\u0101pti<\/em> \u2013 independence from such conditions as <em>k\u0101ma, lobha, moha<\/em>; abandonment of the wishes of the ordinary (\u0910\u0939\u093f\u0915 <em>aihika<\/em>) and other (\u0905\u092e\u0941\u0937\u094d\u092e\u093f\u0928\u094d <em>amu\u1e63min<\/em>) worlds. Acquisition of the abandonment of all desires (\u0938\u094d\u092f\u093e\u0924\u094d\u0938\u0930\u094d\u0935\u0915\u093e\u092e\u093f\u0915\u0940 <em>sy\u0101tsarvak\u0101mik\u012b<\/em>).<\/li>\n<li>\u0938\u0902\u0935\u093f\u0926\u094d <em>sa\u1e43vid<\/em> \u2013 knowledge (comprehension) of the past (\u0905\u0924\u0940\u0924 <em>at\u012bta<\/em>), the future (\u0905\u0928\u093e\u0917\u0924 <em>an\u0101gata<\/em>), nearest and remote objects, the moon, the sun, the planets, etc. (of the macrocosm).<\/li>\n<li>\u092a\u094d\u0930\u0938\u093e\u0926 <em>pras\u0101da<\/em> \u2013 realisation of &#8220;mercy&#8221;, &#8220;divine grace&#8221; thanks to which the mind, feelings, senses and five pranas are appeased.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>There is a description of the other four elements closely associated with the four aforementioned in the <em>pur\u0101\u1e47a<\/em>, for example in the <em>V\u0101yu-pur\u0101\u1e47a<\/em> (11.4 &#8211; 11) and in the cases where they are quoted by tantras accordingly.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u0936\u093e\u0928\u094d\u0924\u093f <em>\u015b\u0101nti<\/em> \u2013 getting rid of imperfections (\u092a\u093e\u092a <em>p\u0101pa<\/em>).<\/li>\n<li>\u092a\u094d\u0930\u0936\u093e\u0928\u094d\u0924\u093f <em style=\"font-weight: 300;\">pra\u015b\u0101nti<\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\"> \u2013 perfection in speech, elimination of the problems associated with the father, mother and other relatives (\u092a\u093f\u0924\u0943\u092e\u093e\u0924\u0943\u092a\u094d\u0930\u0926\u0941\u0937\u094d\u091f\u093e\u0928\u093e\u0902 <\/span><em style=\"font-weight: 300;\">pit\u1e5bm\u0101t\u1e5bpradu\u1e63\u1e6d\u0101n\u0101\u1e43<\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">).<\/span><\/li>\n<li>\u0926\u0940\u092a\u094d\u0924\u093f <em style=\"font-weight: 300;\">d\u012bpti<\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\"> \u2013 enlightened vision, the vision of the past and the future, comprehension of the objects of the universe (the sun, the moon, etc.).<\/span><\/li>\n<li>\u092a\u094d\u0930\u0938\u093e\u0926 <em style=\"font-weight: 300;\">pra\u015b\u0101da<\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\"> \u2013 an appeasement of the five <\/span><em style=\"font-weight: 300;\">pr\u0101\u1e47a<\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">, the mind, the senses and their objects of perception.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Different texts give the different signs of the progress in pr\u0101\u1e47\u0101y\u0101ma.
