Today I was looking through the Shaktisa\u1e45gama Tantra <\/em>and\u00a0there is a description of different sampradayas\u00a0<\/em>there, such as ka\u015bmira<\/em>, kerala<\/em>, gau\u1e0da. <\/em>Likewise,\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0bhavas<\/em> (such as p\u0101\u015ba<\/em>, v\u012bra<\/em>\u00a0and divya<\/em>) are described as three sampradayas<\/em>. And here is what it says about the Divya-sampradaya<\/em> in Sundar\u012bkha\u1e47\u1e0da <\/em>(pa\u1e6dala<\/em> I, \u015blokas<\/em> 153-154).<\/p>\n

[Divya-sampradaya] is divided into seven parts. The first is called \u0101nanda, the second is n\u0101tha, [the third is] \u0101nandan\u0101tha is the main one, the fourth is prak\u0101\u015ba, then the fifth is svar\u016bpa, the sixth is caitanya and the seventh is \u0101r\u0101dhy\u0101c\u0101ryaka. That knowledge is especially respected.<\/em><\/p>\n

The second branch of the divya-sampradaya<\/em> is called\u00a0n\u0101tha. <\/em>What is\u00a0interesting is the fact that such authoritative Tantras associate\u00a0n\u0101thas<\/em> with divya-bhava<\/em>. Logically, divya<\/em> is even higher than v\u012bra<\/em>, and even more so than the\u00a0p\u0101\u015ba<\/em> category.<\/p>\n

It is just that people who are strongly attached to hedonism, praise only v\u0101m\u0101c\u0101ra<\/em> and for this very reason are trying to reduce the significance of n\u0101thas<\/em>. Their argumentation is about the same as if they said that dzogchen<\/em> is the level of the kyerim<\/em> stage of generation, therefore the dzogrim<\/em> with signs (the stage of completion) is higher. It is just like saying that karmamudr\u0101<\/em> is higher than mah\u0101mudr\u0101<\/em> or \u015bambhava<\/em> is lower than \u015baktop\u0101ya<\/em> or that \u015bambhava<\/em> really is \u0101\u1e47avop\u0101ya<\/em>. If we relate the level n\u0101tha<\/em> yogis<\/em> are dealing with, to the \u0101c\u0101ras<\/em> of \u015baktism<\/em>, then it will be at least the level of divy\u0101c\u0101ra<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
