According to the <em>Vedas<\/em>, the first sound of the original <em>yaj\u00f1a<\/em> and creation was the famous <em>pra\u1e47ava<\/em> <em>Om<\/em>. Out of it three <em>m\u0101tras<\/em> (<span class=\"s1\">\u0905<\/span> &#8211; <span class=\"s1\">\u0909<\/span> &#8211; <span class=\"s1\">\u092e<\/span>) three worlds arose, it is also a form of <em>an\u0101hata<\/em>&#8211;<em>n\u0101da<\/em> creating or absorbing the creation. The practice of <em>n\u0101da<\/em> is very significant for <em>laya<\/em>&#8211;<em>yoga<\/em>. However, each tradition has its own forms of\u00a0<em>pra\u1e47ava<\/em>, for example, in the <em>\u015a\u0430iva<\/em>&#8211;<em>samprad\u0101ya<\/em>\u00a0it is the\u00a0<em>b\u012bja<\/em>\u00a0<span class=\"s1\">\u0939\u0941\u0902 (<em><strong>hu\u1e43<\/strong><\/em>)<\/span>, in the <em>Kaula<\/em>&#8211;<em>samprad\u0101ya<\/em> it is the\u00a0<em>b\u012bja<\/em> <span class=\"s1\">\u0910\u0901 (<strong><em>aim\u0310<\/em><\/strong>)<\/span>, in the <em>Trika<\/em> tradition it is the\u00a0<em>b\u012bja<\/em> <span class=\"s1\">\u0938\u094c\u0903 (<em><strong>sau\u1e25<\/strong><\/em>)<\/span>, and for the\u00a0<em>\u015a\u0430ktas<\/em> the\u00a0<em>pra\u1e47ava<\/em> will be <span class=\"s1\">\u0939\u094d\u0930\u0940\u0901 (<em><strong>hr\u012bm\u0310<\/strong><\/em>)<\/span>. Since so many do not at all distinguish the concept of <em>tantra<\/em> with <em>\u015bakti<\/em>&#8211;<em>up\u0101san\u0101<\/em>, in India\u00a0<em>pra\u1e47ava<\/em> is often associated with <em>tantrism<\/em>.
