The <em>ha\u1e43sa-mantra<\/em> (inverted \u201c<em>so-ham<\/em>\u201d) is located in the six-<em>cakras <\/em>and\u00a0symbolises the\u00a0<em>j\u012bv\u0101tman<\/em>\u00a0(the eternal soul embodied in the body). Both <em>mantras<\/em>, which are essentially one <em>mantra<\/em>, have many meanings.<em style=\"color: #333333; font-weight: 300;\">\u00a0<\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">I suppose, <em>ha\u1e43sa,\u00a0<\/em><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">which is formally translated as &#8220;a swan&#8221;, requires special explanations of what is actually meant by a swan. You can find the essence of the <em>ha\u1e43sa<\/em>\u00a0concept in one of the\u00a0<em>\u015blokas<\/em> from the <em>Rigveda<\/em>, which is later repeated in the <em>Yajurveda<\/em>, the <em>Taittir\u012bya-\u0101ra\u1e47yaka<\/em> and the<em> Ka\u1e6dha Upani\u1e63ad<\/em> (one of the earliest\u00a0<em>Upani\u1e63adas<\/em>), the\u00a0<em>Mah\u0101n\u0101r\u0101ya\u1e47a<\/em> <em>Upani\u1e63ad<\/em> and others. This <em>mantra<\/em> is also found in <em>tantric<\/em> <em>s\u0101dhana<\/em>. It refers to the\u00a0<em>ha\u1e43sa<\/em> \u2013 a swan, generally symbolising the sun. The sun is the source of\u00a0<\/span><em>pr\u0101\u1e47a<\/em>\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">(the symbol of the\u00a0<em>j\u012bva<\/em> respectively), the sun \u2013 like a swan, rises on the horizon, moves in the sky and goes back to the earth in the evening. Thus, it is present both in the sky and on the earth, is also able to be under water and on its surface. It is something omnipresent, like\u00a0<em>pr\u0101\u1e47a<\/em> that pervades the entire universe. Dwelling in people (n\u1e5b\u1e63at), being in the best (varasat) (that can be deities or siddhas), in the world order\u00a0<\/em><em>(\u1e5btasat), located in space (vyomasat), born in water (abj\u0101,\u00a0the fire inside the ocean \u2013 va\u1e0dav\u0101nala), born of &#8220;the cows&#8221; (goj\u0101 \u2013 the sun rays), born of a world order (\u1e5btaj\u0101), appeared from the mountain (adrij\u0101) \u2013 the great truth (\u1e5bta\u1e43 b\u1e5bhat) (the rising sun).<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail-p1\">The sun (<em>savit\u0101<\/em>) is one of the main worshiping aim in the <em>Vedas<\/em>.\u00a0<em>S\u0101vitr\u012b<\/em>\u00a0in the <em>Vedas<\/em> is a prototype\u00a0of\u00a0<em>\u015aakti<\/em>, after which it became known as\u00a0<em>ku\u1e47\u1e0dalin\u012b<\/em>, which ascends through <em>su\u1e63um\u1e47\u0101<\/em> to\u00a0<em>\u015aiva<\/em> in the form of the<span style=\"color: #333333; font-style: normal; font-weight: 300;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #333333; font-style: normal; font-weight: 300;\">light of <em>p<\/em><\/span><em style=\"font-weight: 300;\">r\u0101k\u0101\u015ba<\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">. The\u00a0<em>ku\u1e47\u1e0dalin\u012b<\/em> raises the\u00a0<em>j\u012bva<\/em> (<em>ha\u1e43sa<\/em>) through the <em>cakras<\/em> and is absorbed back into itself in the\u00a0<em>sahasr\u0101ra<\/em>, turning into the realisation of <em>so-ham<\/em>\u00a0(I am him) in the form of\u00a0<em>\u015aiva<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I heard from my Guru that the so-ham\u00a0mantra is connected with the experience related to the sahasr\u0101ra&#8211;cakra, when ku\u1e47\u1e0dalin\u012b-\u015bakti connects j\u012bva with\u00a0\u015aiiva.
