Thinking about whether to write this posting or not, I came to the conclusion that I could not write much, because, there are things that need to be kept in secret and shared only with the closest students. Nevertheless, I will share some things. This Goddess is known in the <em>Vedas<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Pur\u0101\u1e47as<\/em>\u00a0under various names, such as <em>nir\u1e5bti<\/em> \u2013 who is the external opposite to the world order (<em>\u1e5bta<\/em>). She is old or ancient. This Goddess arose from the body of\u00a0<em>P\u0101rvat\u012b\u00a0<\/em>or <em>Sati<\/em> in the form of smoke, hence the name. And this smoke itself symbolises something outliving in this world, but reaching upward. Therefore, it is a symbol of <em>sannyasa<\/em> and the highest renunciation. I am not going to write very much, but will give some interesting examples. Here is an interesting description of the highest <em>cakra<\/em> (<em>nirv\u0101\u1e47a<\/em>&#8211;<em>cakra<\/em>), according to <em>Siddha-siddh\u0101nta-paddhati<\/em>:<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u0905\u0937\u094d\u091f\u092e\u0902 \u092c\u094d\u0930\u0939\u094d\u092e\u0930\u0928\u094d\u0927\u094d\u0930\u0902 \u0928\u093f\u0930\u094d\u0935\u0923\u091a\u0915\u094d\u0930\u0902 \u0938\u0942\u091a\u093f\u0915\u093e\u0917\u094d\u0930\u092d\u0947\u0926\u094d\u092f\u0902 \u0927\u0942\u092e\u0936\u093f\u0916\u093e\u0915\u093e\u0930\u0902 \u0927\u094d\u092f\u093e\u092f\u0947\u0924\u094d \u0924\u0924\u094d\u0930 \u091c\u093e\u0932\u0928\u094d\u0927\u0930\u092a\u0940\u0920\u0902 \u092e\u094b\u0915\u094d\u0937\u092a\u094d\u0930\u0926\u0902 \u092d\u0935\u0924\u093f \u0965\u096e\u0965<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em>a\u1e63\u1e6dama\u1e43 brahmarandhra\u1e43 nirva\u1e47acakra\u1e43 s\u016bcik\u0101grabhedya\u1e43 dh\u016bma\u015bikh\u0101k\u0101ra\u1e43 <\/em><br \/>\n<em>dhy\u0101yet tatra j\u0101landharap\u012b\u1e6dha\u1e43 mok\u1e63aprada\u1e43 bhavati\u09658\u0965<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em>The eighth is\u00a0brahmarandhra,\u00a0nirva\u1e47a-cakra. It is necessary to contemplate the image of a stream of smoke, thin as the tip of a needle. There is the\u00a0j\u0101landhara p\u012b\u1e6dha, bestowing liberation.<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">One of the\u00a0<em>Dh\u016bm\u0101vat\u012b&#8217;s<\/em> <em>b\u012bja-mantras<\/em> is \u0920\u0903 (<em>\u1e6dha\u1e25<\/em>), which symbolises\u00a0<em>am\u1e5bta<\/em>\u00a0(the nectar of immortality), associated with the upper <em>cakras<\/em>, such as\u00a0<em>\u0101j\u00f1\u0101<\/em>, <em>guru-cakra<\/em>, <em>sahasr\u0101ra<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">There is a very famous story among <em>n\u0101tha-yogis<\/em> associated with\u00a0<em>Para\u015bur\u0101ma<\/em>\u00a0and how he performed the <em>pr\u0101ya\u015bcitta<\/em> (atonement) with the blessing of <em>Gorak\u1e63an\u0101th<\/em>.\u00a0<em>Gorak\u1e63an\u0101th<\/em> appeared before\u00a0<em>Para\u015bur\u0101ma<\/em> from smoke (<em>ma\u00f1ju<\/em>), therefore,\u00a0<em>Gorak\u1e63an\u0101th<\/em> is known by the name\u00a0<em>Ma\u00f1ju N\u0101th\u00a0<\/em>in the South of India.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">I don\u2019t really like that <em>n\u0101thas<\/em> are identified only with\u00a0<em>ha\u1e6dha-yoga<\/em>, because <em>yoga<\/em> is just <em>yoga<\/em>, with its different aspects, while the\u00a0<em>N\u0101tha<\/em>&#8211;<em>samprad\u0101ya<\/em> is generally the way of <em>yoga<\/em>. Moreover, on all continents now,\u00a0<em>ha\u1e6dha-yoga<\/em>, as a rule, is understood extremely primitively. However, <em>ha\u1e6dha-yoga<\/em> has more to do with the\u00a0<em>N\u0101tha<\/em>&#8211;<em>samprad\u0101ya<\/em>. The goddess is revered as a form of righteousness (<em>dharma<\/em>), in the form of hard effort (<em>ha\u1e6dha<\/em>), etc. I immediately recall the mention in the early tantras of such <em>s\u0101dhan\u0101<\/em>, as\u00a0<em>ha\u1e6dha\u00a0<\/em>and <em>priyamelaka<\/em>, the practitioner&#8217;s connection with <em>yoginis<\/em> in a \u201cdangerous\u201d and \u201cpleasant\u201d form. Of course, in <em>sahasran\u0101ma<\/em>,\u00a0<em>ha\u1e6dha<\/em> is not referred to as the union of the sun and moon.
